Advanced Life Support (ALS)
Del Norte Ambulance provides Advanced Life Support ambulance service 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, using the latest in life-saving technology, including Zoll X-series defibrillators and video laryngoscopes. In the near future, our new units will feature Stryker Powerlift Cots. Our paramedics go through extensive training before working in the field, and our constant focus on continuing education keeps skills sharp.
Specialty Care Transport
Del Norte Ambulance can transport medical patients in need of higher levels of care via ground service, thanks to our paramedics with their expanded scope of training. This service can save tens of thousands of dollars compared to an air ambulance transfer.
Medical Standby Coverage
Del Norte Ambulance provides standby services to various events around the region, including rodeos, parades, festivals, football games, boat races, movie sets, wildfires and many other activities.

Basic Life Support
Del Norte Ambulance’s BLS personnel train frequently, and are expected to grow as both employees and individuals, with a focus on moving up to paramedic level. BLS crewmembers take a hands-on approach to treating patients, and play a critical role in the care of our community’s residents and visitors.
Del Norte Ambulance also provides transport for patients discharged from the local hospital to home, or care facilities.
Non-Emergency Medical Transportation
For individuals unable to walk or move in a wheelchair, Del Norte Ambulance provides quality basic life support ambulance service. Staffed with an advanced life support team, patients discharged from a hospital, transferring from a care facility, or returning to a private residence are assured of safe, comfortable care.
Wheelchair Van Transportation
Professional, compassionate care. That’s our goal not only for ambulance transports, but for wheelchair van transfers as well.
For individuals with medical appointments such as for oncology, dialysis or other healthcare needs Del Norte Wheelchair Service provides safe transport every day of the week from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., although special accommodations can be made with sufficient advanced notice.
Also with advanced notice, we can take you anywhere in Oregon and Northern California, then back home again. However, Del Norte Wheelchair Service does not transport to emergency rooms.
